How BWMS works

BWMS runs the whole repair journey of the base workshop, from the moment equipment arrives at the gate to the moment it leaves. Paper job cards, ledgers and section notebooks become one shared record that everyone works from.

The idea is simple: every piece of equipment that comes in gets a visit. Work done during that visit is written on a work order (the digital job card). Parts, labour, inspections and the final release all hang off that work order. Nothing is remembered by one person or lost in a drawer; it is all in the system.

The journey at a glance

  1. Equipment arrives at the gate and is checked in.
  2. Reception opens a visit and records the fault.
  3. The supervisor raises a work order and assigns it.
  4. The technician diagnoses and repairs, drawing parts from the store.
  5. QA inspects the work and passes or fails it.
  6. The equipment is released and the visit closes.

Equipment that breaks down away from base starts one step earlier, with a recovery job that tows it in.
